Custom Made Hiking, Walking Sticks and Canes. The wood species include Cherry, Apple , Weeping Willow, Diamond Willow, Mapples, Pear, Lilac, Hazelnut and a couple more. The description will have its story and all the individual details. I don't have a preconceived idea, I make what the wood says to me. I keep them as close to their original shape as I can. That is why they will have their own unique twists, knots and feel. I try to give them life.
Octopus Cane
This hand carved octopus is solid oak.
The dark spacer at the base is teak wood.
The shaft of the cane is made with apple wood from my personal apple tree.
All solidly fastened together with threaded rod and a two part epoxy.
The rubber foot gives good grip on most surfaces
